Visiting Senior Research Specialist Position Announcement
Applications are being accepted for a position to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of scholars and practitioners on a meta-analysis of the effectiveness of youth mentoring programs. The project is being conducted jointly with MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership and is supported by funding from a private foundation. The selected individual will play a major role in executing and coordinating all research activities for the project, including literature search, study coding, data management and analysis, and report and manuscript preparation. The position is full-time, requires work to be completed on-site in Chicago, and will continue through at least October of 2009.
A Ph.D. or comparable degree, demonstrated proficiency in project management, excellent research design and quantitative data analysis skills, strong communication skills, and a track record of presenting and publishing research are required. Substantive knowledge and background in the areas of youth development, prevention and health promotion programs, and research synthesis are highly desirable.
