Research Assistant Graduate Student (Part-time Position)
20 hours per week, pay range: $10.00-$13.00 per hour
Description
Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum seeks Research Assistant (RA) candidate to perform focused research in areas related to its mission and objectives. Experience or interest in performing research in our current priorities is preferred, including:
- health information technology
- clinical quality measurement
- medical home initiatives
- health literacy and consumer empowerment
The RA must be able to work on multiple projects with multiple project managers. RA must support project managers’ ability to facilitate work of the Quality Forum’s committees and volunteer experts. The RA is expected to be exceptionally organized, and have a record of completing assigned projects and delivering results on time.
Expectations for the RA’s role include:
- providing research support into national best practices and standards
- supporting project managers on internal and external projects
- balancing multiple projects simultaneously
- maintaining exceptional organization of assignments and responsibilities
- consistently delivering projects with timeliness
- assisting with event preparation, including materials preparation/assembly and onsite logistical support
- possessing current driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred skills for the RA position include:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
- Adobe and Adobe Reader
- Typical office tasks (typing, copying, scanning, faxing, answering phones)
- Experience/skills in meeting logistics a plus!
