Position Description:
This is an opportunity for dedicated, enthusiastic and talented health professionals to apply their public health skills to work in the Office of Health Policy and AIDS Funding (OHP). Persons selected will work with the Quality Manager in the analysis of various surveys and program evaluation activities. Once completed, candidates will leave with real-life experiences in monitoring and evaluation, and have experience with policy change in HIV/AIDS services.
The current project involves assessing quality of services from the client’s perspective. Intern will assist in the different phases of this project from helping clients to complete survey, data management/data entry, data analysis and report writing.
This is an opportunity to work directly with organizations serving the HIV/AIDS community and gain valuable hands-on experience.

Qualifications:
· RN/MPH/MHA/PA background or candidate preferred.
· Knowledge of HIV/AIDS treatment and social service a plus.
· Proficient in Word, Excel, SPSS, Access, PowerPoint
· Willingness to see project through to completion
· Be an eager learner, open minded, creative and continuously growing in knowledge and skills
· Good organizational skills
· Excellent communication skills, oral and written
Organization Description: OHP is a federally funded grant program in the City’s Health Department that administers the Ryan White Part A Program. This program funds agencies to provide treatment and support services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in Orleans and seven surrounding parishes. Services include primary care, case management, dental care, transportation, substance use and other services aimed towards improving HIV related health outcomes.
