Essential Duties:
Provide professional nursing care to individuals in a community
environment; conduct physical examinations to assess client’s health
status; administer prescribed medications according to department
protocols; develop and implements nursing care plans for patients;
educate and instruct individuals in health education, disease
prevention, nutrition, child care. Performs other related duties as
required.

Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse, supplemented by two
years of work experience in ambulatory care nursing, OR a Bachelor’s of
Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited National League for
Nursing (NLN) program with a license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Applicants must possess a valid State of Illinois Registered Nurse
license at the time of employment. *** NOTE: Applicants speaking a
second language in Spanish will be given first consideration. ***

NOTE: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, eligible for licensure, may
be hired but must obtain license within the first six months of
employment. Persons hired but failing to gain licensure within six
months of appointment shall be discharged.
