Project Muso Ladamunen, a community health organization working in Mali, West Africa, is currently accepting applications for several part-time US-based volunteer positions for its microfinance, education, and health care delivery programs. Project Muso partners with communities in Mali to transform interwoven crises of poverty and disease, through an integrated strategy that includes microenterprise, health care delivery, participatory education, and community organizing. Project Muso has grown more than 10-fold since its founding in 2005, currently serving an area of 26,000 people. We are looking for highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students for positions that involve a 10 hour/week commitment from the United States, in diverse areas including research and evaluation of our programs, fundraising, best practices research for program development, electronic medical record systems, web development, translation, accounting systems strengthening, and design. The Board of Directors of Project Muso is also accepting applications for a new member, who would become the Treasurer of the Board for the 2009-2010 year. Because we are a relatively small and rapidly growing organization, there are many opportunities to take on important and high-impact responsibilities as part of our team. In addition, we are accepting applications (for another couple days) for three 13-month technical support volunteer posts in Mali for 2009-2010, and those are field positions that we expect to be accepting applications for again in 2010 and 2011. There is more information available on our website www.projectmuso.org about our organization.
