OneWorld Health was founded in July of 2000 by Dr. Victoria G. Hale; we are a

501(c)3, non-profit pharmaceutical company whose mission is to develop safe,

effective and affordable new medicines for people with infectious diseases in the

developing world. OneWorld Health was founded to address the wide gulf between

human need, scientific effort and the marketplace. We created a nonprofit model to

achieve outcomes that would otherwise not be achievable. And we do so in a spirit

of partnership and collaboration that capitalizes on the specific talents and resources

that each participant can bring to this essential scientific endeavor.

OneWorld Health is the first nonprofit pharmaceutical company in the United States.

Our role in the world is to:

Identify potential new medicines for disease disproportionately affecting

developing countries,

Assess the safety and effectiveness of investigational medicines,

Honor international ethical standards for research,

Establish collaborations with partners to manufacture and distribute new

medicines and

Ensure that medicines will be affordable and available for distribution.

OneWorld Health’s core strengths lie in pharmaceutical product development. Our

scientific expertise extends from drug lead identification and optimization to

conducting clinical trials and securing regulatory approval of new medicines for

patients in the developing world. Our scientific efforts are guided by a mission that

ensures our products are safe, effective and affordable for the populations we serve.

Want to be a part of the first US based nonprofit pharmaceutical company in the world and help to develop life-saving medicines to benefit the world’s least fortunate and save lives? At iOWH we develop safe, effective and affordable new medicines for people with infectious diseases in the developing world. We offer competitive salaries and benefits and a great working environment located in downtown San Francisco near the Embarcadero and major transportation lines.
