Position Description

CLAGS seeks a part time Project Coordinator for its International Research Network. The main task is to coordinate activities related to the IRN including:

  • publicizing the activities of the IRN, including writing reports, press releases; presentations and other content
  • doing outreach with sexuality researchers internationally;
  • identifying funding sources
  • identifying potential IRN members and regions
  • editing essays and coordinating their translation;
  • working with the CLAGS Executive Director
  • writing web content
  • supporting on-line working groups;
  • identifying sexuality studies knowledge in the public domain for possibly inclusion in the site;
  • helping new web users use the site;
  • working in connection with the IRN Web Administrator on website design, management, and utility
  • liaising with IRN advisory board.

Additional tasks may include office administration. This position is part time, 20 hours a week.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated, well-organized, have a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to organize information
  • Current doctoral study, Master’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Knowledge of the field of sexuality

Desired qualifications:

  • Can work with Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Writing or outreach experience
  • Ability in Spanish, Chinese or French
