Employment Opportunity-Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) : Seeking LMHP to work in St. John the Baptist School System, Minimum of Master's Degree, with three or more years of experience, preferably in Children's Mental Health General Duties: Ensure the provision of mental health service coordination for children and families identified within the public education system as presenting with potential mental health disorders; determine eligibility for services; procure needed treatment or other services, and monitor student progress; coordinate the delivery of appropriate services; maintain applicable caseload records and prepare reports Essential Requirements: * Coordinate school-based mental health services * Develop individual or family plan for identified student * Provide technical assistance, consultation, and training to schools regarding Community resources and other mental health issues, as necessary * Provide training in school system * Supervise the monitoring of client progress by school; personnel; visit school facilities, attend school meetings; provide for additional services as new needs arise * Work with other parish agencies and community organization to coordinate effective mental health service provision to clients * Minimum of Masters' Degree, with three or more years of experience * Be a Licensed Mental Health Professional * Experience and expertise in Children's Mental Health field * Excellent interpersonal skills to consult effectively with teachers, administrator, and parents, in a variety of settings If you are interested in this position please submit your resume to hr@laffcmh.org or fax to 225-293-3510 attention Human Resources Department.
