Healthy Start New Orleans’ mission is to promote healthy communities by nurturing healthy pregnancies, healthy babies, and healthy communities. We are currently accepting applications for a Community Outreach and Health Education Coordinator. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about the Healthy Start mission to lead our community health worker and health education team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of community health workers and health education staff ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and federal regulations.
- Plans, develops, implements, and facilitates outreach community events and health education programs for high-risk pregnant and parenting clients and their children.
- Makes logistical arrangements for clinics and other outreach sites including identification of space and location, patient liaison, and provision of materials and equipment.
- Provides all necessary administrative support for outreach sites, including participant communication, staff travel arrangements, and maintaining procedure manuals for various operating sites
- Oversees the work of educational and support staff, consultants, and/or volunteers engaged in program activities, as required to meet the specific objectives of the program
- Performs data entry, maintains records, and develops applicable reports on all outreach activities
- Attends and participates in staff and interagency meetings
- Leads, guides, and trains outreach and health education staff, ensuring overall compliance with HSNO guidelines
- Coordinates the annual performance appraisals of those employees under the direct supervision in a timely manner
- Assists in establishing and implementing short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Oversees social media, radio, and other media outreach
