Epidemiologist/Biostatistician

Job Description

Plans, develops and conducts epidemiologic investigations, surveillance and interventions to determine the causes of diseases; collects, analyzes and interprets data, including existing surveillance system data, and prepares epidemiologic reports and/or oversees these activities; provides expertise for data collection, analyses, reporting and dissemination of data; assists with the development of policies and procedures for new and existing prevention programs; provides training, technical assistance and consultation regarding epidemiology; serves as technical expert and point of contact for various personnel regarding epidemiologic issues; performs various duties in support of unit or section operations.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Public Health or a closely related field AND two years of experience analyzing epidemiologic data, conducting public health surveillance and studies, writing epidemiologic reports, and providing training and consultation on these topics
