Job Title: Director of Quality & Process Improvement

In addition to legislative leadership, the Chair also provides executive direction as the County’s CEO. The County workforce of about 4,500 regular employees provides a wide variety of services to the community through nine County Departments including libraries, social services, health clinics and regulatory health services, supervision/custody for juvenile and adult offenders, criminal prosecution, land use and transportation and law enforcement for unincorporated areas.
Integrated Clinical Services group is the program within the Health Department that contains a large urban Community Health Center serving the needs of uninsured, low income and underserved residents in Portland, Oregon. The County has been a direct grantee of the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) since 1977.
The County is Oregon’s largest community health center, with over 1,000 employees providing services through school based health centers (13 sites), primary care (7 sites), dental (4 sites) and correctional health. We take a leadership role in many local, state, and regional safety net initiatives. Our long range strategic plan includes strategies that seek to increase coordination and minimize redundancy within our clinical systems while continuing to maintain and strengthen our community connections and partnerships.
Pay: $61,093.00 – $94,325.00 Per Year
The Position
The Director of Quality and Process Improvement is a senior leader within the Integrated Clinical Services group of the Health Department. This person manages the following programs: Quality and Process, Safety, Health IT Systems, BPHC Grant Management, and ICS Administrative Support. Primary emphasis is on leading quality improvement, performance excellence, planning and organizing the resources of all programs and coordinating the efforts of all subordinate management personnel.
