ANNUAL SALARY: $29,220.00 – $40,500.00

DEFINITION: This is professional dietetic work in a state facility. An employee in this class performs duties as a staff dietitian in areas of quality assurance, administration, education or clinical nutrition. Work may include preparing menus, supervising the preparation and serving of modified diets, and training non-professional personnel in proper dietary methods. Supervision may be exercised over food preparation and food service employees. Work is reviewed by the director of dietetics or other designated superior through conferences, reports and general observation of work accomplishments.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in dietetics, foods and nutrition or food service management and successful completion of a dietetic internship as approved by the American Dietetic Association.
OR
Graduation from an approved baccalaureate degree program of coordinated dietetic education or completion of a Master’s Degree in dietetics, nutrition or food management. (Registration as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration may be accepted in lieu of other specified qualifications.)
