Epidemiologist III
Duties:
* Provides direct oversight and supervision of day to day STD
surveillance activities, and ensures maintenance and overall integrity
of a variety of STD and related databases.
* Oversees data requests required and ad hoc reports, conducts and
oversees data cleaning and analysis and ensures timely reporting of
morbidity data to city, state and national agencies as required.
* Ensures completion of tasks and attainment of goals and
objectives related to the work unit.
* Provides oversight of the activities of the federal assignee STD
Surveillance Operations Manager and the Epidemiologist II.
* Provides input on performance appraisals and applies basic
principles of leadership including coaching, training, mentoring,
evaluation.
* Performs related duties as required.
Location: Miles Square – STD Surveillance
Shift: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s
degree in Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative
field, supplemented by four years of progressively responsible
experience in epidemiological and statistical analysis.

Residency Requirement
An employee must be an actual resident of the City of Chicago. Proof of

Salary: $67,656.00/Annually
