Senior Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance and Systems and/or Health Policy and Standards Advisors in West Bank and Gaza

IntraHealth International, Inc. is currently recruiting for Senior Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance and Systems and/or Health Policy and Standards Advisors based in Ramallah, West Bank Gaza. Successful candidates must demonstrate breadth and depth of technical expertise and experience in management, design and implementation of essential primary health care and secondary hospital care services, including child survival, maternal health, chronic diseases, emergency response and injury prevention.  Candidates also must show the proven ability to promote and implement quality clinical services and contribute to institutionalizing quality and performance improvement activities.

Primary Responsibilities: The Advisor will focus on providing systems-strengthening interventions to support quality services; and the enhancing of local capacity to execute quality assurance and performance improvement processes through support to MOH and selected NGO clinics. S/he will offer leadership, guidance and monitoring for specialized areas of these components including the application of a unified quality assurance methodology and employment of performance improvement methodologies, including the development of self-directed benchmarks of quality to measure progress and create recognition systems, and on-site supervision systems. S/he will engage in supporting the development of continuing education and accreditation systems.

Qualifications: Position requirements include: MD, DrPH, PhD in health-related discipline with 7+ years of experience or MPH or Nurse/Midwife with 10+ years of experience in the region, preferably within organizations receiving USAID funding.  Relevant experience means professional public health and/or related development experience.  Candidates with experience in West Bank/Gaza will receive special consideration.  It is important to possess excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead teams while interacting with a variety of key stakeholders and technical and administrative staff. High proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency in local languages is highly preferred.
