Spring Semester 2009 Internship
Qualifications:
- Strong Organizational skills
- Detail Oriented
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Experience using Word and Excel
- Interest in social programs, research & writing

Duties:
The intern will assist Research Analysts and Senior Research Analysts with grant writing and evaluation projects. Activities will depend upon project needs, but may include:
- General office duties such as photocopying, filing, organizing, making phone calls, scheduling meetings, preparing documents
- Data entry (scanning surveys, entering and cleaning data)
- Data gathering, such as conducting brief interviews
- Reviewing and abstracting published research
- Prospecting for grant funds
- Preparing grant application narratives, budgets and forms
- Basic data analysis using Excel or STATA (descriptive statistics, chart preparation)
- Copy editing of reports
Start date: February 2, 2009
Vacation/ benefits: none
Pay: $12/ hr
Hours: 10-15 hours/ week. Work schedule is flexible.
Location: 8434 Oak Street, New Orleans
Work environment: PRG is a demanding but casual work environment.
