Position Description
CLAGS seeks a part time Project Coordinator for its International Research Network. The main task is to coordinate activities related to the IRN including:
- publicizing the activities of the IRN, including writing reports, press releases; presentations and other content
- doing outreach with sexuality researchers internationally;
- identifying funding sources
- identifying potential IRN members and regions
- editing essays and coordinating their translation;
- working with the CLAGS Executive Director
- writing web content
- supporting on-line working groups;
- identifying sexuality studies knowledge in the public domain for possibly inclusion in the site;
- helping new web users use the site;
- working in connection with the IRN Web Administrator on website design, management, and utility
- liaising with IRN advisory board.
Additional tasks may include office administration. This position is part time, 20 hours a week.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated, well-organized, have a strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to organize information
- Current doctoral study, Master’s Degree or higher preferred
- Knowledge of the field of sexuality
Desired qualifications:
- Can work with Microsoft Word, Excel
- Writing or outreach experience
- Ability in Spanish, Chinese or French
