Presentation by Vincent Felitti, MD

September 26, 12-1pm
Tidewater room 1201

The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study is one of the largest investigations ever conducted to assess associations between childhood maltreatment and later-life health and well-being. The study is a long-term, in-depth analysis of over 17,000 HMO patients. ACE Study findings have demonstrated a strong, graded relationship between the level of traumatic stress in childhood and poor physical, mental and behavioral outcomes later in life.
