Boys Town Louisiana is looking for a Training Coordinator for its Community-based Abstinence Education program. The program’s purpose is to provide an abstinence-only educational curriculum to 9th and 10th grade public high school students. This project is federally funded and is research driven to determine the effectiveness of the program.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists in managing the operational aspects of specific areas of Community-Based Abstinence Education program.
· Serves as a liaison between the agency and the public school system.
1 Management of program model and department focused training activities.
2 Assist in program assessment and evaluation processes.
· Assists in the development of staff’s knowledge, skills, and personal characteristics.
· Provides oversight and quality assurance of on-site training services.
1 Evaluates and provides feedback to a staff of four employees.
· Coordinates and monitors all training sessions, consultation, and internal training workshops.
· Schedules trainings and presenters with local public schools.
1 Presents, supervises, and monitors the quality of training for accuracy and consistency through staff observations and direct feedback.
2 Assists and coaches staff in developing key competencies in presenting a structured abstinence-only curriculum to high school aged students.
3 Develops and revises sections and training support materials with supervisor’s permission
4 Produces and presents training program, workshops, or projects as assigned.
· Coordinates and monitors the implementation of site-based training systems.
· Facilitates the training of trainers, consultants, administrative leaders, and other agency employees.
1 Delivers training and consultation as needed.
2 Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and data collection systems.
· Produces new training materials, outlines, and workshops
· Manages materials development for projects as assigned
1 Helps research and write all new workshop materials in an effort to branch across the continuum of care.
2 Researches topic areas and provides input to update current materials.
REQUIREMENTS:
Masters degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field plus two years administrative or training experience; 2. Strongly prefer two years experience working with the New Orleans public school system 3. Must possess own vehicle and a valid drivers’ license with a good driving record.
